Welcome to our web site, and thank you for taking the time to learn
more about our firm.
We recognize that divorce is traumatic for everyone involved and that
the personal impact of this trauma is real and should not be ignored.
It is our goal to assist our clients through the legal and emotional
roller coaster they are facing. We have learned that this can only be
accomplished by coupling a caring, compassionate approach toward our
clients with a strong, professional position of advocacy toward other
parties.
It is a sad fact that no one is a real "winner" in a divorce case and
that children are the greatest victims of divorce. We therefore
advocate keeping the needs of your children at the forefront while
going through the divorce process. Because we value the emotional
health of your children, we have been specially trained in the area of
Collaborative Divorce. Collaborative Divorce is a less stressful, team
approach to divorce that helps maintain the emotional health of the
parties and their children.
For more information on Collaborative Divorce, click here or check
out our Links page.
In addition, it is all too common that domestic violence and addictions
(alcohol, drug, gambling, sexual, etc.) are factors that have led to the
divorce rate. Our staff understands how these situations harm the
love and trust that is an integral part of a healthy family. We
therefore are skilled at representing people when they find
themselves in the middle of the criminal court system because of
these and other factors.
We also recognize that divorce is particularly difficult for Christians
and other people of faith. We believe that although God hates
divorce, that divorce is as common for people of faith as it is for the
rest of society. It is therefore imperative to learn how to go through
the divorce process without giving up our core beliefs and without
feeling that we have violated God's law or our commitment to our
faith.
